# 2026 OSSS application questions

These questions are provided so you can prepare your answers in advance of filling out the application form. 
Please be aware that we will only accept applications via [this form](https://forms.gle/S4jWFdQktkRxfHBo9).

- What is your institutional (i.e. student/work) email?
- What is your job title or current degree program?
- What career stage do you most identify with?
  - Phase 1 - Junior (e.g. Undergraduate/Masters student, PhD candidate,  Research Assistant,  Junior Research Software Engineer)
  - Phase 2 - Early (e.g Research Associate/Fellow, Postdoctoral scientist, Research Software Engineer, Bioimage analyst)
  - Phase 3 - Mid (e.g. Lecturer, Reader, Senior Researcher, Senior Research Software Engineer, Research Group Leader)
  - Phase 4 - Established (e.g. Professor, Director of Research Computing, Distinguished Engineer, Chief Data Scientist)
- Are you affiliated with the Sainsbury Wellcome Centre or the Gatsby Computational Neuroscience Unit?

    - Please note, if you select "no" and are not selected for a fee waiver, you will not be offered an OSSS place.
